A SAFER WORKFLOW

From archive
to finished cut.

Large community libraries can contain duplicates, unclear names and mixed-quality files. This workflow protects your time and material.

01

Choose a collection

Start from the project category closest to what you want to build.

02

Inspect the file

Confirm the format, dimensions, layers and intended material thickness in your design software.

03

Run a test cut

Use scrap material first. Kerf, power and speed depend on your machine and material.

QUICK ANSWERS

Before you
download.

Are the laser cut files free?

The shared archive can be browsed at no charge. PikPak controls its own account, download and storage requirements.

Which laser software is supported?

Many files can be opened in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, Glowforge, Inkscape, Illustrator or CorelDRAW, depending on the included format. Compatibility is not guaranteed for every file.

Can I sell finished products?

Do not assume commercial rights. License information varies by source. Verify the rights for an individual design before selling a physical item or redistributing a digital file.

Are machine settings included?

Usually not. Test on scrap and follow the safety guidance for your machine, material and ventilation setup.

How do I report a rights concern?

Email support@openlaserfiles.com with the file name, your rights basis and a precise description of the requested action.

MAKE RESPONSIBLY.

Open Laser Files is an independent index of a community laser-cut archive; it does not claim ownership of every included design. The inventory snapshot dated September 2, 2026 contained 20,910 ZIP archive containers totaling about 104 GB across 16 organized source folders. Those figures describe containers and storage volume, not unique designs, tested projects or license-cleared files. The folders may contain duplicate archives, incomplete exports, mixed formats and unclear licensing information. Before using a design, confirm its dimensions and layers, check for duplicate or open paths, review any license supplied with that exact file and run a small test on scrap material. Machine settings, material compatibility and commercial rights are not guaranteed. Rights holders can request a review at support@openlaserfiles.com with the precise filename, folder path, preview image URL or page involved.
