FREE LASER CUT LIBRARY
How to Download Free Laser Cut Files
Open Laser Files provides free access to a shared PikPak library and a searchable Google Sheets directory. Choose a project, confirm the formats actually present, review any file-specific license information and inspect the geometry before running a test cut.
The download button opens PikPak. Sign-in and download limits are controlled by PikPak. We may receive a referral reward if you buy Premium.
1. Open the shared folder
Use the “Free Download” button above. The sponsored link opens PikPak in a new tab. Open Laser Files does not collect a fee for access to the shared archive and does not host the ZIP files on this WordPress site.
2. Browse or save files
PikPak controls its own sign-in, storage, download speed and account limits. Those requirements can change independently of Open Laser Files. Review the external service’s current terms and privacy information before creating an account or saving a file.
3. Inspect one archive at a time
Large community archives can contain duplicates, incomplete exports, unclear names and mixed licensing information. Begin with the collection index, select a relevant category and open one ZIP archive. Confirm that its contents match the preview and that the required vector format is actually present.
4. Check the design before cutting
- Confirm dimensions and units.
- Look for duplicate lines, open contours and hidden layers.
- Separate cut, score and engrave operations.
- Measure material thickness and review slot widths.
- Check for a license or original-source note that applies to the exact design.
Do not treat a file name, preview or folder location as proof of compatibility, production quality or commercial rights. The collection guides provide project-specific checks, but they do not replace inspection in your own software.
5. Run a safe test cut
Use scrap from the intended material, follow the machine manufacturer’s guidance and keep the machine attended. Power, speed, air assist and ventilation depend on the specific laser and material. Stop if the material behaves unexpectedly or produces unsafe fumes.
Official checks worth using
LightBurn’s official Preview guide explains how to review cut and engrave layers and find duplicate geometry before sending a job. For ventilation, follow the documentation for the exact machine and exhaust system; xTool’s exhaust safety guidance is one example of why fumes must be routed correctly rather than treated as harmless.
